Who Am I?

Hi I'm Mitali Gupta, a software engineer specializing in data engineering and intelligent systems. I design and build scalable systems, developing robust APIs, optimizing databases, and creating reliable pipelines that turn complex datasets into actionable insights. My work spans SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS & Azure) and production-grade software, enabling organizations to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams and enjoy taking ownership of projects—from ideation to deployment. Whether it’s improving system performance, designing intuitive user interfaces, or automating workflows, I focus on creating solutions that make an immediate and measurable difference.

Currently pursuing my MSc in Computer Science at University College Dublin, I’m further honing my skills in advanced data solutions, cloud computing, and scalable software design using AI. I am excited to contribute to projects that leverage software to solve real-world problems while driving innovation, efficiency, and impact.

Software Engineer | NSOFT (India) Services Pvt Ltd May'24-June'25

Co-developed the Advanced Meter Reading (AMR)/Automatic Metering Infrastructure (AMI) prototype to automate meter reading and data management for BESCOM, MESCOM, GESCOM, HESCOM, and CESCOM, with plans to lead its full-scale deployment.
Led the development of GESCOM's Purchase Procurement Module, managing the entire lifecycle from frontend design to database implementation, while contributing to the Power Purchase Module and optimizing HRMS modules, including income tax and TDS workflows. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions aligned with client requirements, ensuring high-quality code standards through rigorous testing and peer reviews.
Redesigned and enhanced the user interface and user experience for the Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL) customer portal, collaborating closely with team members to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly design.
Developed a few full-stack modules, from frontend to database, for the prototype of the new Total Revenue Management System (TRMS), while collaborating with cross-functional development and testing teams.

Improved backend performance and functionality by developing efficient REST APIs and optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases.
